Hockey, ringette, figure skating and speed skating
In connection with the health measures issued on August 1st by Public Health and the guidelines of your Sports Federation, here are the new rules concerning the relaxations of measures for the City of DDO as of August 13, 2021 for the conduct of your indoor activities:
For supervised activities:
- Maximum: group of 12 participants per team, to which officials, staff and volunteers may be added, for a total of 24 participants during games (6 on the ice, 6 on the bench), 25 participants for practices.
- Leagues and games allowed according to health guidelines related to the color level
- Competitions and tournaments authorized following approval by the Sports and Recreation Department
- A maximum of 250 spectators per facility is permitted if assigned seating is issued otherwise a maximum of 25 per facility is permitted.
- The presence of spectators must be managed by the association or client using the facility.
- Wearing a mask is mandatory within the Civic Center and in the locker rooms. Only participants in the activity may remove the mask once on the ice.
- Locker rooms will be open with a reduced capacity. A distance of 1 meter must be maintained and masks must be worn.
- Showers are open
- Access to the locker rooms 20 minutes before and after the reservation.
- As of September 7th: return to hourly ice rentals on all 3 rinks, with no designated disinfection period. We will maintain access to the locker rooms 20 minutes before and after the reservation.

Green zone usage conditions
These measures must absolutely be put in place to ensure your presence in the safest and healthiest possible conditions for all participants, employees and partners. The dates mentioned are subject to change according to the decision of the government and public health. If the zone color change or delayed, reservations will be credited or moved according to our availability.
General instructions in the green zone from June 28, 2021
- Each person entering the arena must disinfect their hands
- Everyone must wear a mask upon entering the arena. The mask can be removed during the activity if participants can respect the 2 meters at all times.
- You must arrive a maximum of 20 minutes before the time of the reservation and leave a maximum of 20 minutes after.
- The changing rooms will be accessible while respecting the 2 meters at all times. Showers will also be accessible but you still have to respect the 20 minutes rule after.
- Activities with brief, sporadic and short-term contacts. Jousting allowed.
- Group of 25 participants to which can be added officials, staff and volunteers.
- If anyone appears to have symptoms related to COVID-19 that person cannot enter the arena.
- An employee will control access to the arena. We kindly ask you to comply with this security step and we will not accept any disrespectful behaviour for this employee.
- Leagues, competitions and tournaments allowed
Important Notes
The current agreement is evolving based on government directives. In the event that the measures mentioned in this document are not respected, the Sportplexe Pierrefonds reserves the right to withdraw access to the arena without reimbursement
